Silchar, Sep 27 (IANS) The Cachar locale police in Assam held onto two uncommon types of chimpanzees on Tuesday which were presumably carried into Assam either from Indonesia or Myanmar through Mizoram, an authority said.

Police guaranteed that the Mizoram-Assam course was utilized by the lowlifes to sneak colorful creatures some place outside the upper east.

Divisional Backwoods Official (DFO) of Cachar, Tejas Mariswamy told IANS, “Any course which interfaces the worldwide line turns into the regular spot for pirating outlandish creatures as is the Aizawl-Silchar course.”

He said that the creatures were held onto by the police and gave over to the woodland authorities for safe guardianship.

He further said that chimpanzees might have a place with the Orangutan species which are local to the rainforests of Indonesia and Myanmar. “We have data that each pirated species might be sold almost for Rs 40 crores.”
